US ARMY GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL
The Army Good Conduct medal was instituted in 1941. The medal was designed to
reward individuals for examplary conduct, fidelity an efficiency.
Designed by Joseph Kiselewski. Consisting of an eagle perched over a Roman
sword. Around the outside are the words "Efficiency,Honor, Fidelity". The
back of the medal has a five pointed star. The soldier's name could be
engraved here. The sample featured here does not have any engraving. The ribbon
was designed by Arthur E. DuBois. Consisting of 13 stripes to represent the
13 original colonies. This medal is one of the most commonly available.
