US ARMY M1 CARBINE AMMO POUCH - 1957
This ammo pouch is not from the Korean war period, however, its design is identical to that employed during the Korean conflict. As a matter of fact the design was introduced during World War One , its used continued during World War Two and remained pretty much unchanged even during the Vietnam war.

Of canvis construction. a single pull-dot snap type secured the lid in the closed position. A couple of gromets are placed in the bottom section. This allows the soldier to attach articles to the pouch.
