Korean war US Air Force Heavy Field Cap -

This is an experimental field cap used by the US Air Force during the korean war. Type 440A and A/1. Grayish green color. Neck and ears protective material can be rolled into the inside of the cap when not used. The visor has multiple stiching lines to provide extra support.

The liner is made of a gabardine-like material. This is unusual for military caps.
