Korean War -
This is a US Air Force Cold Weather Uniform (CWU) flight suit. Introduced in the late 1950's. Of very
heavy duty construction. A Brass zipper with a black leather tab runs down the center of the uniform.
Two upper, slanted pockets are secure closed via the use of snaps. The waist is adjustable with a belt
sewn into the uniform. A set of plastic gray buttons which are also attached to the uniform provide an
anchor for the adjustment of the belt.
The collae is of rounded shape. Draw strings help close the neck area. The left sleeve has a single pocket
with a zipper to keep it closed. Multiple zippers are found in the legs.
