Korean War US Army Field Cargo Pants -
This is the standard set of cargo pants employed by the US army in the early 1950's. Of cotton construction. Olive Drab color. The waist is adjustable via the use of two straps. The bottom of the legs is adjustable via the use of snaps. A single brown button secures the front.

Six pocket type. two are located in the upper section. Two are found at mid-point on the side of the legs. Finally two in the rear. The cargo pockets have each a strap of cloth that can be tied around the leg. The idea was to provide extra support when carrying a heavy load on the pockets. The waist has a series of belt loops.

The uniform shown here is an example of the type used during the Korean war. The inside of the pants has two black ink stamps. One for the size of the pants. The other has a series of instructions on how to use the pants. A white cloth tag is sewn in the same area. It also contains instructions on how to use the pants.

CUTTER TAGS
This set of pants was never issued. It is new old stock. The factory stapled a series of paper tags, usually white or yellow. The tags are normally removed but in cases like this one they remain.
