HAND MADE US ARMY LRRP PATCH - VIETNAM WAR
The US Army
Special Forces Troops stationed in Vietnam would often have local seamstresses
make un-official versions of their unit patches. Even though there was no
official sanction allowing the soldiers to wear the patches they would often
sew them on the inside of their boonie hats.
The patch featured here is an example of an un-official patch.
The un-even stiching is a clear sign of hand made construction.
