WWII US ARMY M1 CHROMED PARADE HELMET
|
This is a rare example of the early WWII M-1 helmet used in parades. The construction is identical to other helmets
with the exception that the whole piece has been chromed. The overall condition is fair. The chrome shows wear
but remains solid and attractive. No major dents are found in the helmet. I have never seen another example of
this type.

This is a closer view of the fixed bail. This type of manufacturing started in 1941 and was
stopped around October 1943.

The helmet comes with a liner dated 1957. The following is a view of
the inside section of the liner.
