WWII US ARMY MUSSETTE BAG
The M-1936 Mussette bag was used as a general purpose carrying device. The pack was issued with a long strap. It could be
carried as a tote bag. Of canvas construction. Two straps were employed to secure the flap shut. The back had a thin
storage compartment for carrying paper items (maps, manuals, letters, etc.). A metal, round button would secure the back
shut. The bag was issued in all theater of the war and was employed by all branches.
The pack is dated and manufacturer mark. These items are starting to get difficult to find. Most of them were worned out
because people continued to use them in the civilian world well after the war.
