WWII US NAVY SHIP INTERCOM SYSTEM

The US Navy grew to be very large during WWII. As the ships became larger and more complicated, it was necessary to improve the communication systems.

This is an intercom system used by the US Navy in the battle ships. All metal construction. Manufactured in 1944. The box was painted battleship gray. Nicely marked. A red light comes on when the system was in use.

Two switches were provided. One activates communication between the officer's quarters.
