This is A veteran's medal issued for service during the Spanish American war. The design of the
medal consists of a rectangular upper section with a felt front. The back has a pin attached to it.
A ribbon is suspended from here.
The ribbon has an American flag printed in the front. The back has red stripes runing down. The name
of the soldier is hand written to this area.
The bottom of the ribbon has a crossed rifles in front of an anchor.
The main medal consists of a cross. The front has the words "Cuba", "Portorico", "USA" and "Phillipines"
distributed among the arms of the cross.
The back of the medal has the letters N.W,E,S to indicate direction. The word "United" is
written in the center.
