Vietnam War US Army Soldier Trophy -
This is a US Army Ranger pewter statue. Produced as a souvenir during the
Vietnam war era. Items like this were sold at novelty shops. Relatives of
the soldiers would buy them and present them as gifts. The level of workmanship
and detail given to the statue would vary depending on price.
The statue is secured to a stand made of cherry wood with green felt on the
bottom. The size is approximatelly 1 foot.
The back of the statue shows the ALICE pack. This was the primary backpack
used in the field.
The side of the soldier shows the rank on the sleeve. An entrenching tool
attached to the pack and the ammo pouch on the belt.
This view of the soldier shows the primary weapon, the M-16.
