WWII US Army General Purpose Frame - 1944
This is a US Army field gear item. As issued during World War two. This is a multi-purpose backpack frame. Employed
for caryying items such as radios, artillery rounds, ammo boxes, etc. The design was very practical. It had
multiple metal brackets secured to each side. Several large openings lined the back. Rope and string could be
secured at mulitple places to ensure the load was carried in a secured fashion.
