US Army First Aid Kit -
This is a US Army field gear item. As issued during World War two. This is a first aid kit carried in the
jeeps. Complete with the metal box. Multiple compartments to carry different type of items. Nicely
marked. The kit was secured to the back of the passanger seat. A couple of metal straps ensured the
first aid kit did not move while traveling through rough terrain.
The lid of the kit had large white letters that read:
First Aid
Stock No. 9777300
For emergency use only
In addition, a white circle was painted in the center with the medical caduce painted in red ink. The
words "US Army medical department" surrounded the logo.
