WWII US Army TP-9 Field Phone -
This is a US Army field communications item. As issued during World War two. This is a US Army field phone. Type TP=9.
The type of equipment to be used in the more formal field headquarters. All metal construction. The phone is housed
is a self enclosed box. The upper section has a lid that is hinged on one side. Secured by a single snap.
When this part is opened it reveals the headset and provides access to other controls.
This is a much bigger set than its counterpart, the
EE-8 field phone .
