WWII US Army Field cap -
The United States armed forces produced a variety of caps to be worn in the field. The item
featured here is a WWII US Army field cap. A shade of green color which did not that match the issue
uniform. It is similar
in design as the caps worn by members of the Conservation Corps. This may have been an experimetal color.
The cap comes with extra material that was used to cover the ears. When not in use, the flaps
can be secured to the front by using a metal buckle and a strap. The bill is composed of multiple
stiching lines.
A Wool liner provides protection against cold weather. The sweatband is made of nylon-like material.
