MATERIALS FOR THE US MILITARY UNIFORM - There were different types of materials employed in the construction of military uniforms during the Vietnam war. More distinct differences were found between the dress and combat uniforms by comparison with previous conflicts. Wool continued to be employed but it was of far better quality and not as harsh. The introduction of synthetic materials also made it possible for the uniforms to be more comfortable.

This section of the website displays a list of the materials employed in the manufacturing of US military uniforms.
