WWII GERMAN EAGLE - EARLY SA -
This is a WWII German early SA eagle. Employed as an emblem in the hat. Of metal construction. This is the type employed when the SA was started .
The Sturmabteilung, abbreviated SA, (German for "Assault detachment" or "Assault section", functioned as a
paramilitary organization of the NSDAP – the German Nazi party. They played a key role in Adolf Hitler's rise
to power in the 1930s.
The design consisted of an eagle clutching a swastika surrounded by a wreath. The eagle's head is facing
to the right. It's wings fully extended. The swastika is painted black.
The back of the police badge shows two vertical bronze prongs. They would affix the eagle to a hat. Hollowed
