WWII GERMAN WOUND BADGE - SILVER CLASS

This is a WWII German wound badge. Silver class.

The badge was issued in three classes:

Black
Silver
Gold

The black badge was issued in an envelope. The other two came in boxes. All badges had a certificate of award.

The same basic design was employed during WWI. The main difference was that the WWII version has a swastika in the helmet.
