WWII GERMAN WAR MERIT CROSS - 2nd CLASS
This is a WWII German War Merit Cross. 2nd Class without swords. Issued to civilians who supported
the war effort in a non-combatant fashion.
Of metal construction. Cross shaped. Bronze color. The front of the German war merit cross has a
swastika surrounded by a wreath. The ribbon is very similar in color to the one used by the Iron Cross.
This medal was also issued with cross swords. To indicate direct participation in the support of military activities.
The back of the German War Merit Cross has the year 1939 in embossed lettering.
