WWII GERMAN FIRE FIGHTER OFFICER HAT

The German fire department was an organization ran by each city. As many other public offices, they had to adopt the swastika as part of their uniform in a show of solidarity with the Nazi party.

This is a German WWII hat. As issued to fire department personnel. Of dark blue wool construction. Orange piping is placed in the perimeter of the peak. A metal generic eagle is placed in the front. The eagle has its wings fully extended. The head faces to the left. Its talons are clutching a wreath with a swastika in the center.

The front also shows a black leather chin strap. A metal buckle allows the length of the chin strap to be adjusted. The chin strap is secured via the use of silvers buttons. One on each end.

The front also displays a metal cockade. With a black circle and the center painted in red.

The sweatbad is made of light brown leather. The owner wrote his name with a blue pen. This was a common practice among military and civilian organizations.
