This is an example of the bandoleer's used by the Paratrooper soldiers of the Luftwaffe. The construction is heavy fabric dyed in the traditional blue color. The bandoleer was around the neck, the pockets are located in such a way as to allow the paratrooper easy access to the ammo.

The bandoleer was also manufactured in a camouflaged color. The pockets were secured closed by the use of snaps.

There are several companies currently manufacturing reproductions of the bandoleer.
