This is an Iraqi wound medal. The award was established in 1983 during the Iran/Iraq war by law #95. Issued to soldiers who were wounded during the execution of military operations.

This sample has the plain white issue packet. Manufactured in Switzerland. The medal has a similar suspension system as used by the Eastern block countries. A safety pin is sewn to use as the device employed to attach the award to the uniform.

This is the bag in which the medal was issued.
