This is a Japanese WWII Army office telephone. As used in military bases throught Japan and occupied territory.

Black bakelite and metal construction. Cloth insulated cords. A crank is located to the side of the unit. Heavy duty construction.

No dial is provided. The whole telephone system was based on operators.
