This is a heavy winter coat used to protect soldiers against sub-zero weather. the construction of the coat consisted of a light OD green color. Fur collar and cuffs. The sleeves of the jacket were detachable to facilitate the movement of the person wearing it. They were secured via the use of buttons. The jacket was double breasted.

This jacket was issued to troops stationed in China and Korea, where the weather can reach very cold temperatures.
