This is a British WWII MK1 Model 2 revolver. 38 caliber. Holds six rounds. Dated 1940. Made by
Enfield in England during WWII. This sidearm was issued to officers.
This sample is very clearly marked in every component, from the trigger to the hammer. The handles are made of wood
with a very fine checkered pattern. A round metal piece is affixed in the center of the handle.
A ring is placed at the bottom of the handle. The lanyard was attached to the ring.
British Commonwealth items are currently being
reproduced.
It is becoming more difficult to be able to tell the fake ones from the real ones because
the quality of the reproductions is improving. The collector must become familiarized with
the construction style and materials employed in the manufacturing of these medals.
Attention to the details is critical in order to be able to determine the authenticity of
the collectible.
