This is the knife that was used by the British special forces. The handle is wrapped in parachute cord to improve the griping.
The blade is very thick. Design for serious cutting or pounding. There are no markings on the blade itself.
The scabbard is made of dark brown leather. A series of rivets are applied to enhance its strength. Most of the rivets are
found in the tip area as that is where most of the pressure is exerted. A broad arrow stamp and date of 1992 are applied to
the back of the scabbard.
One interesting aspect about this knife is that it also has a custom made scabbard. Of camo color.
The edge weapons from many countries are currently being
reproduced.
It is becoming more difficult to be able to tell the fake ones from the real ones because
the quality of the reproductions are improving. The collector must become familiarized with
the construction style and materials employed in the manufacturing of these medals.
Attention to the details is critical in order to be able to determine the authenticity of
the collectible.
