WWII GERMAN KETTENKRAD
The item featured here is German Kettenkrad. A very interesting combination of a motorcycle with a tracked vehicle. Issued during World War Two.

The motorcycle was produced by a company named NSU. It was fairly portable. it could be carried in a Ju-52 aircraft to be delivered to the battlefield. Some of the applications for this vehicle included the towing of aircraft at airports, pulling artillery pieces, carrying ammo, etc.

The back seat was designed to carry two soldiers. They faced to the back. A small cushion was provided, however, the ride was not exactly comfortable.

The cab was very basic and functional. Not much space was provided for the driver.

The following pictures show some of the parts used in the Kettenkrad.
