WWII US Army Radio Pack Frame - 1944
This is a US Army field gear item. As issued during World War two. The device is a multi-purpose backpack frame.
Employed for caryying items such as radios, artillery rounds, ammo boxes, etc. The main body was built of
a fiber-board. It came equipped with multiple metal hooks on the sides. Several openings in the back.
This design afforded the flexibility to attach items in different ways,

The back shows a rectangular canvis section with multiple metal eyelets through which string is ran
and wooven onto the board itself. This feature provided some shoch absorption and comfort to the
soldier that was wearinf the frame.
The upper section of the pack is black ink stamped with the manufacturer's maker and date (1944).
