The following is a Japanese army rank patch. As issued during WWII. It was worn on the collar. Two piece construction
where the base is made of green wool. teh front is red in color with a yellow stripe in the center. The number of
stars determines the rank.
The backm of the rank is plain green wool. the red thread used to secure the second piece is clearly visible.
