1970 US Air Force Jungle Tunic
This is a tunic used by the US Air Force during the Vietnam war. Of poplin
construction. OG-107. 100% cotton. Four pocket design with hidden plastic green buttons.
This is the third pattern design. The tunic was issued for fighting in the jungle.
The upper pockets were placed at an angle to better facilitate access to the
contents when the soldier was wearing the full load bearing gear. The lower pockets are straight.
The patches on this uniform are theater made. One sewn to each arm. Master sergeant rank. Since the supply chain was not
as reliable as it is today, it was a fairly common practice for the soldiers to have the locals manufacture patches and
name strips.
