WWII US Army Paratrooper Jump Jacket -
This is a US Army Paratrooper jump jacket. As used by the 101st and 82nd Ariborne units during WWII. This is the jackets that
were used during the assault on Normandy (D-Day).
Of cotton construction. Fairly loosely fit. The uniform was issued with a belt of matching material with a metal buckle. The
belt is often missing. This particular example still has it.
The patches on this particular example are original and were added after the war. However, the placement is identical to what
would have been used for the period.
This is a highly sought after jacket. They are hard to find. Therefore, several reproductions are being manufactured today.
Some of them are of very good quality. For example, some were created for use in the movies Saving Private Ryan and Band of
Brothers.
