WWI GERMAN ARMY HELMET
This is a German WWI helmet. As issued to the armed forces. One interesting aspect about this piece is that the
soldier who captured it sent it home by placing postage stamps on the back and writing his address to the front.
The post office delivered it this way. A clear coat was applied to the stamps to keep them from pealing off.
The helmet has all the hardware. The leather chin strap is brown in color and remains pliable. An aluminum buckle
permits the adjustment of the length of the strap.
